King Saud University
A public university in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, founded in 1957 by King Saud bin Abdulaziz as Riyadh University, as the first university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was created to meet the shortage of skilled workers in Saudi Arabia. It was renamed King Saud University in 1982.
The University of Jordan
A state-supported university located in Amman, Jordan. Founded in 1962, it is the largest and oldest institution of higher education in Jordan. It has the highest admission averages in the country and is considered the premier university in Jordan and one of the most prestigious in the Arab world and the Middle East.
Kuwait University
Established in October 1966 under Act N. 29/1966. It was officially inaugurated on 27 November 1966 to include the College of Science, the College of Arts, the College of Education and the College for Women. The university is the state’s first public institution of higher education and research
Sohar University
Established in 2001 as the first private university in Oman. It was granted degree awarding powers by the Oman Ministry of Higher Education, with the authority to provide programs and courses whose successful completion leads to academic awards.
Zarqa University
Established in 1994, about 6 km to the east of the city center. At the universitys first academic semester, there were only 150 students. Now the number of students are over 9,000 in 43 majors.
